4 Mega-Pixel Digital Camera

4 mega-pixel digital camera for beginners and intermediate users. This camera secures superior image quality through Samsung Techwin’s exclusive SHD lens technology, recognized throughout the world, and provides a 5 cm macro shooting function so that you can take more precise pictures. In addition, the camera is equipped with a true-colour filtered CCD for clearer and more natural-looking colour reproduction. For user convenience, this digital camera is equipped with an SD/MMC card slot as well as a 16 MB internal memory.

User-friendly functions

The small, portable A400 fully embodies the fashion for the young generation to carry their cameras with them at all times and take pictures anywhere. You can dress casually and still easily carry the A400 with its slim design (109 x 56.5 x 34 mm, and 140g, without battery and card); and you can take self-portraits, checking your pose and your looks in the circular reflector on the front of the camera. The 5-function button on the back of the camera has been proved by many users to be ultra-convenient. With this button you can set functions with the greatest of ease. A large 2-inch LCD with high definition enables you to check the subject before you actually take the picture. The slim and smooth design emphasizes the simple, elegant image of the A400.

Image edit function

Editing is the most important concern in these digital pictures. You can correct or modify an image by running an editing program, but it is costly time-consuming to learn how to use and become familiar with the program. So for the sake of user convenience, this function is incorporated into the digital camera. The function enables a slide show of pictures taken, resolution changes, a trimming function, image rotation, and picture protection so that you can use the camera more conveniently. In addition, the function enables you to check information about the picture immediately.

Interface:

The Graphic User Interface has been improved, and you can see all menus in English to select menus easily and quickly. The arrangement of buttons, such as the Mode dial for selecting a shooting mode and the 5-function button for selecting functions, is user-friendly so that you can operate them with ease. The interface has been enhanced, focusing on very easy access to the operating buttons and frequently-used functions so that you can use a variety of digital camera functions easily and quickly. You can also employ the exposure compensation, white balance, and ISO functions by using the +/- button on the back of the camera.

- Reflector: You can take pictures of yourself, checking your pose and your looks in the circular reflector.

- 5-function button: Using this button makes it simple and easy to access the frequently-used operations such as flash selection, the self-timer, and replaying voice recordings and movie clips.

- +/- button: You can operate shooting functions such as exposure compensation, sensitivity and W/B easily.

- Play button: This button is a quick view button that enables you to show your pictures without booting up the camera, while the power is turned off, for convenience of use.

- Mode dial: You can select a shooting mode or a movie clip just by operating this dial.

Basic Functions for Taking Pictures

5 Scene modes (Night, Portrait, Landscape, Text, and Fireworks) are available for taking pictures in optimal conditions according to the shooting situation, so that you can achieve more natural-looking colours in all circumstances. Pictures can be taken continuously and a double self-timer function with 2 and 10 second delays is provided. Therefore you can shoot high quality images when you take commemorative pictures, or close-ups, or take shots at very short range. The exposure compensation value is set to ±2EV (adjustable in 0.5EV increments). This facility enables clearer colour reproduction.

More Natural-Looking Colours by Controlling White Balance and Using Custom W/B Function

This digital camera provides White Balance functions (Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent, Tungsten, and Custom) so that you can achieve more natural-looking colour reproduction under any light conditions. Additionally, RGB enables you to control colours in the way you want.

Movie Recording and Play Function in VGA (640x480) with High Compression and High Quality, for the First Time in a Digital Camera

For clearer sharper movies, this camera uses a high compression, high quality movie clip format, and movie clips are supported in VGA (640x480) at 24fps. In VGA (640×480), you can play a movie clip on your TV without any degradation of image quality, and enjoy it in a screen size twice as large as a computer screen. Because this digital camera supports up to 30 frames per second, you can view a smooth movie with natural-looking colours. You can record voice and movies for as long as the available recording time in the memory allows. In addition, you can extract desired frames from the recorded movie. The above features make this digital camera a perfect substitute for a camcorder.

Other Functions
PictBridge (Direct Printing System)

You can use a USB cable to connect this camera to a printer without a PC, and select paper types and sizes supported by the printer from a menu in the camera. Through the LCD of the camera, you can check the printer’s progress status. PictBridge is completely compatible with DPOF so that you can also use the existing output format (DPOF) according to the printer type.

Voice Recording and Voice Memo

This camera can be used as a digital voice recorder, and you can record voice for up to one hour. Additionally, you can add your voiceover to a stored still image for up to 10 seconds. Therefore you can use your digital camera in a variety of different ways.
