The 16.1MP APS-C size HD image sensor, the same sensor format that Sony builds into their full-sized DSLRs. With 13 times the area of the typical point-and-shoot image sensor, Sony's APS-C sensor size delivers high resolution, high sensitivity and gorgeous, blurred backgrounds.

Fast Hybrid Autofocus.
The NEX-6 is as fast as the world you're trying to capture. Sony's advanced Fast Hybrid AF combines two technologies for outstanding performance: Phase detection autofocus for quick response that is ideal when tracking fast-moving subjects and contrast-detection autofocus for added precision. It's a perfect match that delivers fast, precise, focusing anywhere and everywhere.

Expert framing.
What you see is what you get with the XGA Tru-Finder™ OLED electronic viewfinder. This eye-level, through-the-lens, viewfinder begins with 2359K dots for amazing resolution and high contrast ratio for massive depth while the OLED reduces motion blur to a bare minimum. See the results of camera adjustments in real time with expert color and detail.

Forget the cable.
Never again be stuck with your photos on your camera instead of where you want them. Built-in Wi-Fi lets you transfer photos directly to smartphones and tablets with the PlayMemories Mobile™, app. Share your photos, view them on large screen TVs, or save them to your PC without the hassle and clutter of cords.

Dial in total control.
The NEX-6 includes an exposure and control dial, as well as the Fn (function) control button so you can focus on the shot instead of the menus.

The perfect fit.
Unlike conventional cameras, the NEX-6 sports a newly developed Multi-Interface Shoe that dramatically expands compatibility with an array of Handycam® accessories. This compatibility cuts down on duplicate accessories and turns this camera into a full production powerhouse.
