World’s first Dual LCD touch-screen display camera
The breakthrough 1.5'' front LCD display makes this the world’s first Dual LCD display camera. The front LCD also boasts the unique Children mode feature; a fun animation will make kids smile every time you need them to. And you’ll know exactly when it’s the right moment to shoot with Shutter and function Info features, as well as the handy self-timer with countdown option.

27 mm wide angle lens with 4.6X optical zoom
The ST550’s 27 mm wide angle lens plus 4.6X optical zoom gives you a wider shooting range from a shorter distance with more flexibility than 35 mm cameras. The precisely cut 27 mm optical lens from Schneider-KREUZNACH delivers clear, clean images with even resolution from center to edges. Each lens surface is multi-coated to minimize ghosting or flaring for a great shot every time.

3.5” touch screen back LCD
The ST550’s 3.5” LCD touch screen display gives you the sharpest images of any camera available today. This ultra-wide LCD contains 1,152k pixels, using the same award-
winning LCD technology that can be found in Samsung’s TVs and mobile phones
to deliver the highest-quality images possible. Also, unlike other digital cameras,
the ST550 features Samsung’s unique Haptic technology where the camera
responds with a slight vibration and beep whenever you select an option.

Smart Gesture UI
The ST550’s innovative Smart Gesture User Interface (UI) lets you quickly access and use the key features with either a simple tap or hand gesture. With the built-in acceleration sensor, your gestures work as your commands, managing the camera functions, rotating photos, create special slide shows and more… all without lifting a finger.

HD movies & HDMI™ connection
The ST550 is like having a compact HD video camera that also takes professional-grade photos. It delivers quality sound, records HD video in 1280 x 720p resolution at 30 frames per second. Its H.264 format also allows you to record twice as much as an MP4 and four times more than an MJPG, the format used in many other digital cameras. With the ST550's mini-HDMI connector, you can watch your HD videos with any HDTV or HD monitor. (Adaptor not included)

Smart Face Recognition
Built with Samsung’s innovative Smart Face Recognition technology, the ST550 automatically adjusts the focus and exposure on up to 20 faces of your choosing on your display. Smart Face Recognition also lets you efficiently search for people within your album without having to go through every photo.

Smart Auto
Take professional-looking photos with Samsung’s Smart Auto feature. It analyzes key elements of your composition such as colour, brightness, motion and subject, and then automatically adjusts to take the perfect shot. So you never have to worry about your photos being washed out, too dark or out of focus.

12.2 megapixel CCD
Samsung's ST550 comes fully equipped with a true colour-filtered 12.2 megapixel CCD guaranteeing some of the most vibrant images available. This camera also produces incredibly detailed images which can be used for printing poster-sized photos.

One Touch Shooting Auto Focus
Sometimes the focal point of your picture is not always in the centre of the frame. In cases like this, the ST550’s One Touch Auto Focus feature allows you to focus on a different part of the shot by simply touching the desired area. Once you’ve selected the focal point, you can simply leave your finger on the screen for two seconds or push the shutter button to take the picture.
