Capture More Of Your Life
You already have the eye. Now all you need is the camera to capture the world exactly the way you see it. The WB5000 combines a 26 mm wide-angle lens with a 24x zoom. Letting you can fit more in frame while delivering a deeper perspective. And the 12.5 mega pixels provides the sharp, crisp detail to reveal all kinds of things. Including what a great photographer you are.
HD quality video. Now in a compact camera
If you prefer still shots to movies but want to leave your options open (and leave your camcorder at home) the WB5000 is right for you. You'll get 720p HD quality video at 30 frames per second. And a recording time that's 3.5x longer than MJPEG video. You even can use the 24X optical zoom to get up close and vividly personal. And you never have to worry about sacrificing sound quality, its Stereo Microphone delivers outstanding audio every time. You'll give up nothing, except carrying around that extra camera.
Full manual mode
Great shots have to be caught in a split second. With a whole new approach to full manual mode, the WB5000’s Wheel Dial lets you set the aperture and shutter speed as quick as the world moves. Just the turn of a finger and you can finely tune the white balance and color temperature within the range of 3,000K to 10,000K for truer, richer colors and artistic photos. Flip from Auto Focus to Manual Focus or selection AF. Also just spin the dial to go right to the photos you want to show off. This dial isn’t just smart, it’s brilliant.
Edit RAW files and express yourself.
The WB5000 was engineered to help you express yourself. Its Samsung converter program gives you the freedom to edit RAW files – files that contain uncompressed original data and are not yet processed – any way you want. Normally, images are processed and compressed into JPEG files using settings in the camera. But RAW file support gives you free reign. So whether its color, exposure difference or resolution, you can manipulate your images to your heart’s content.
High Sensitivity ISO 6400
Your toughest shots have just been made easy. The WB5000’s super fast shutter speeds see to that. It helps you capture picture perfect moments even under low lighting conditions and when your subjects are in motion, turning them into sharp, expertly focused photos. So don’t be afraid of the dark. Or fast moving objects!
Shake, rattle or stroll
Even the tiniest shake can ruin your shot. The WB5000’s Dual Image Stabilization solves that. Samsung has combined the revolutionary technology of their ultimate Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) mechanism with the advanced algorithms of Digital Image Stabilization (DIS). Giving you sharp images no matter the condition. Whether it’s low light, zooming or just a case of plain old shaky hands, your photos come out sharp sand clear. So let the WB5000 shake things up. In a good way.
Just what you had in mind
You see the image you want in your head. You point the WB5000. And Smart Auto sees it too. This scene recognition technology actually chooses from 11 different settings ranging from landscape to portrait automatically. Then adjusts for the perfect shot. Whether it's catching your friends on a night on the town or a waterfall off a mountain. What you get is exactly what you had in mind. Plus all the credit.
It knows you, and only gets your best side.
The WB5000 isn’t just smart in design. With its Smart Face Recognition technology, the WB5000 creates brilliance with every snap. And keeps it that way. By knowing up to 20 of your friends and family, it automatically focuses on them first, making sure the most important subjects are always in crystal clarity. And since the WB5000 never forgets a face, you can also browse more efficiently by the people you’ve registered.
Smart Album
Smart Album automatically organizes your photos by date, color tone, content, theme and file type so that you can find that one particular shot amongst 2,000. It does the looking for you. In fact, it can even do a face search!
