The FinePix F710 Zoom features Fujifilm's unique Super CCD SR sensor technology, as well as a number of user-friendly refinements.
Designed as a 'widescreen' partner to the highly-awarded FinePix F700 Zoom, the FinePix F710 Zoom alters several features. The fundamental difference between the F700 and F710 cameras lies in the zoom, the screen and the flash mechanism.
The FinePix F710 Zoom features a newly-designed Fujinon 4x optical zoom lens. Even with the increase in zoom range (32.5 – 130 mm in 35mm equivalent), the camera still boasts the lightning-fast response times first seen in the FinePix F700. This means that the camera is ready to take pictures approximately 1.2 seconds after the camera is switched on.
In recognition of the growing popularity of the widescreen format, the FinePix F710 Zoom features a new 2.1" widescreen LCD for viewing images and movies taken at 16:9 format – this picture size has been adjusted for optimised playback on widescreen televisions.
The design of the F710 has been altered slightly to house a pop-up flash. This new design increases the distance from the flash to the lens, which helps to reduce the effects of red-eye when taking photos using flash in poor light conditions.
Getting images from the FinePix F710 Zoom couldn't be easier for users with or without a PC. For those with a PC, the camera features a USB 2.0 high speed connection for ultra-fast transfer of images from camera to computer. For those without a PC, the F710 Zoom features PictBridge™, the industry standard for printing images directly from a digital camera without the need for a computer.
