In timeless black, the PowerShot A2100 IS is sophisticated, slim and pocket-sized.

12.1 Megapixels
A 12.1 MP sensor captures every scene in extreme detail – print up to A2 size, or crop to achieve the desired composition without losing the detail necessary for larger prints.

6x optical zoom with optical IS
6x optical zoom brings distant subjects up close and offers a wide choice of framing options. Canon’s optical Image Stabilizer keeps images sharp by reducing the effects of camera shake.

Great shots with ease
Smart Auto Mode uses intelligent Scene Detection Technology to determine subject brightness, contrast, distance and overall hue. The camera then searches an incredible 18 possible modes, and selects the one which offers the perfect settings for the scene. Easy mode ensures correct camera usage by deactivating all buttons except those used for shooting.

Face Detection Technology
A suite of Face Detection technologies detects up to 35 faces in a shot and adjusts focus, exposure, flash settings and white balance – for optimal results with natural-looking skin tones. Face Select & Track lets you select and track a particular face as your main subject in a shot. FaceSelf-Timer makes group photos easy, only taking the shot when an extra face is detected in the frame.

No more red-eye
Auto Red-Eye Correction lets you easily remove the red-eye effect caused by flash photography, either during or after shooting.

3.0” LCD
Framing, reviewing and sharing shots is equally easy with a bright 3.0” LCD.

Anti-blur
The PowerShot A2100 IS combats blur with Motion Detection Technology. Activated in Auto ISO and Easy modes, a range of technologies are used to ascertain movement of both camera and subject. The optimum ISO is then automatically set for the situation.

DIGIC 4
Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor drives exceptional processing speeds, responsive operation, superb image quality and colour reproduction. Richly detailed, cleaner images, even at high ISO speeds, are the result of advanced Noise Reduction. DIGIC 4 also powers Canon’s i-Contrast feature, for improved contrast and greater detail in tricky lighting conditions.

VGA movies with Long Play mode
Supplement your photos with smooth, 30fps VGA video clips. A special Long Play mode lets you store twice the regular amount of footage on your memory card.
