A mode for every occasion
A range of 17 shooting modes – including Easy, Sunset and ISO 3200 modes - helps you get the perfect shot, even in tricky lighting conditions. My Colors photo effects, such as black and white, can be applied either in shooting or playback.

Get closer
A Canon 4x optical zoom gives you a range of framing options - while using optical Image Stabilizer technology to guard your shots against the effects of camera shake, for crisp, blur-free shots.

DIGIC III and iSAPS
Canon's DIGIC III processor provides lightning quick responses, superb image quality and advanced noise reduction for sharper, clearer images. iSAPS technology uses shooting scene data to optimise camera settings even before a shot is taken.

Face Detection Technology
Great people shots come easily with Face Detection AF/AE/FE/WB, which detects up to nine faces and adjusts focus, exposure, flash settings and white balance - for optimal results with natural-looking skin tones. Face Select & Track lets you choose and track your primary subject, so you never lose a special face in the crowd.

Auto Red Eye Correction
Remove red-eye, fast and accurately. Get automatic red-eye removal immediately after your shot is taken – or choose between manual or automatic correction in playback.

Say goodbye to blur
A combination of Canon technologies makes great, blur-free photos easy. Activated in High ISO Auto, Motion Detection Technology uses Face Detection Technology, the optical Image Stabilizer and scene information - on both scene brightness and changes between individual frames - to identify subject motion and camera-shake. ISO is also optimised for minimum blur and maximum image quality.

2.5” LCD and OVF
Frame shots on a bright 2.5” LCD screen, then share them easily with friends thanks to a wide viewing angle. Alternatively, the real-image optical viewfinder (OVF) can be used to preserve battery life.

Movie options
Shoot smooth, 30fps VGA movie clips at the touch of a button. A special Long Play option uses around half the normal memory card space.
